About Graham
Dr. Graham Pattison was born and grew up in Stockton-on-Tees in the north-east of England. He obtained a MChem degree from Durham University in 2005, winning the BP Chemicals Prize for the highest overall mark in his year. He then stayed in Durham for a PhD under the supervision of Prof Graham Sandford, looking at the use of highly fluorinated heterocycles as scaffolds for the synthesis of drug-like compounds. He then moved to Edinburgh for a postdoc with Prof Hon Wai Lam, researching asymmetric metal-catalyzed addtion processes. He joined the University of Wawick as an IAS Global Postdoctoral Research Fellow, before joining the University of Brighton in 2018 as Lecturer in Organic Chemistry, being promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2020. He moved to Lincoln in 2022. His research interests are in organofluorine chemistry, organoboron chemistry and medicinal chemistry.
